Bush corruption hits home!

I'm almost embarrassed to say it, but Philip Zelikow, who chaired the 9/11 Commission for Bush, is my former neighbor. His house is directly behind ours, and our kids used to play together. When he first chaired the commission, he was on TV frequently, and I used to have my kids watch, and remind them that anyone could do anything in this country if they set their mind to it.

Well, I was right, but in the wrong way. It turns out he had strong ties to the Bush administration, and probably tried to influence the outcome of the report to link al-Quaida to Iraq. A new book entitled The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Investigation by Philip Shenon just came out, and has some pretty strong implications about Zelikow and his ties. I guess I'm going to have to read it!

I'm also going to have to spray everything in my house with Lysol, just in case any of his germs are still lingering here. I better tell the people that bought his house, too.
