What is it like to be me?
I thought the world was crazy when I was younger - there wasn't enough time to get it all done. But now I've discovered something even crazier!!! THREE kids in college! One is in grad school, so he doesn't really count, since his tuition is basically free. But he still has other expenses, such as needing to eat about 6,000 calories a day, mostly from my refrigerator. We have to shell out the big bucks times two for the other two, and I was just getting used to this, when my husband of very many years decided to go out on his own and do his own thing to make money. Could it get worse? Of course! He decided to do it from home! Nothing like answering the door at 8 in the morning in a bathrobe to discover a bunch of men on the other side coming over for a business meeting.
I have now forced him to relocate to an actual office, so things are looking up. The kids come home when they should and usually don't show up when they shouldn't. They are generally doing what is age-appropriate, which does alarm me from time to time. They try to be very open with me about what they are doing. Because of this, I've started singing loudly at random times. There are just some things I'd rather not know about!

- I am apparently funny, especially when I am not trying to be funny - I'll be completely serious and everyone starts to laugh. This has happened my whole life. When I was younger I took a sense of humor test and flunked it miserably. So the truth is, I don't have a sense of humor; I'm just funny. I am about as liberal as they come - and proud of it. I grew up in a Socialist country (Canada) and live in perhaps the most liberal state in the US. I am STILL waiting to go to a gay marriage - so please consider inviting me. Coffee is my biggest addiction! I am proud of my kids' accomplishments and hope they are too. And yes, I really do like cows - hence the mooomie thing. I felt like a cow for years because I nursed my kids forever. Then, when I worked at an organic farm, I developed a deep emotional attachment to those poor dairy cows and what they had to put up with every day. I think we worry as a nation about all the wrong things. The world needs a little more happiness and a lot more love, so I'm working at making that happen.
