I changed my mind ...

Really good wine for $4.50 a bottle. Why was I going to give up wine? I forget. I'm now a believer again. It's going to be a great summer!

Here's a really cool Vermont vodka I found with cows on it! Bessie makes more than milk! I never knew Bessie was so versatile!

Just checking to make certain my photos post, since wandren is having troubles getting hers posted! http://www.utterz.com/…Nw/utt.php

After graduation

utterz-image
some people party, some go into town to celebrate, but others take a group nap on the nearest bed. That's our style. Here are two of my brood and another who considers me to be her substitute mother, along with the wookie husband. :)

Mooomie's moment of brilliance

utterz-image
Never throw at anything, ever. Who knows when you might need something in the future. Here is proof that National Geographics in particular should never be thrown out. It turns out, it's a very good thing I held onto mine. AND that I could find the thing when needed!

Woodland flowers for mothers day

Wood poppies: A native plant that spreads on its own. A perfect present for Mother's Day. They'll spread every year and slowly make my woods so pretty in the spring. :)

megan35 sends me a thankyou letter!

My virtual friends are becoming real friends! Because there is no such thing as a virtual thank you letter that arrives by snail mail! Megan35 must be real person, and she's a very nice person!!!! This is evidence that the utterz universe is part of the real universe.

Mooomie - worst daughter-in-law in the world

somehow, the lovely photo my mother-in-law sent was NOT on the mantle as it should have been. My mother-in-law discovered it missing from that honored place, and I have been accused of throwing it out!

I've now found the photo. Here is proof that it is now on the mantle! I just don't understand how it got in the back of that cupboard!

dealing with alcoholism in the elderly

I came home last night to find my father-in-law, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, to be more than a little tipsy from the two martinis he had that night. I ignored him but now wonder if I should have confronted him. Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem??

Preparing to say good-bye

Watching my father-in-law go up to the front of the church today to take communion was very hard. He has Alzheimer's disease, and knows it. As I watched him go up to the front, I realized that he is waiting to join his God. I sat there and cried. He came back, knelt, and held my hand. Despite his age and his declining mental abilities, he was able to see that this was hard on me, and he was able to comfort me.

I was blown away by the whole experience. Just had to share it!
